Being born in Waterdeep and suddenly taken away to be raised in the Underdark by a group of thieves and merchants, taking him in to work for them. Just a group of thieve's selling was they have stolen, nothing more. He wasn't stolen, but given to the band, given away to be free from people that would other wise want to control him under a corrupt system. His parents, both nobles of Waterdeep, not adventurers, wanted him away from bureaucracy. They both disappeared soon after he was taken and not heard from again. It had been said they tried to find there son but had gotten killed in the process. After growing up a bit with the merchants, he was brought up to steal and sell for his keep. Life was hard, and a High Half-Elf being raised in such an area he often tried to hide his ears and pass for human.
Young Adult Life:
Raised by thieves he became a thief, it’s as simple as that. Not an evil person but certainly finding nothing wrong with taking what he needed and then some. Knowing how hard it was living his lifestyle, he decided to get out and adventure, maybe making a name for himself or at least seeing the world. When the time came to leave, his family of rogues, having made more than enough money off of him growing up, said there goodbyes.
Where you are today:
Being a rogue is all he had ever known, and he was good at it. He knew who to frequent, where to steal, and how to stay hidden. Adventuring was not only a way of making more money, but having a good time as well.
He will lead the rest of his life trying to make a name for himself, and making himself rich as well. Finding a real guild to join is also on his list of things to do.
Views on the world:
As far as politics go, Honor Among Thieves, as code to live by. Other than that he has no taste for it. Nobility is fine, it’s richer people to steal from. Not fitting in with either Humans or Elves, he finds comfort in the diversity of the world, all races. The gods are unknown to him, temples and such were just a home for priests.
Fond of the company of other rogues and of course wealth, a band of brothers and some coin for the better comforts, perhaps an adventure or two is all he needs. Also fond of ale, and a warm hearth.
He dislikes unlikable company, a cold room, people with too much power. Other people who don’t appreciate the value of coin.
